Eh, its a chain. Eh, they serve seafood. Eh... its just one of those things that you have to go to when you are craving those dang cheddar biscuits. I guess its just one of those places that you enjoy going to... but... its nothing amazing... its just Red Lobster. All the chain restaurants HAVE to continue to change, to make improvements, to keep things fresh, so that things are never really just the 'same' as they were before. I just don't see much of what Red Lobster has done to keep on keepin on.

Normally I read the yelp reviews and go by that but I've eaten at Red Lobster for many years and figured they were all the same since they are a chain. They are not. Usually I go to the one on Hall Rd but since I was just getting carry out I thought it wouldn't matter. We wanted to stay in and watch tv and thought our favorite comfort foods on a cold night would make the night perfect. Instead I was left finding something in my fridge because half of the food was inedible. We spent $60 on dinner and half of it was bad, that is unacceptable. My shrimp linguine Alfredo was gluey and thick. It wasn't creamy and the pasta wasn't light, it was heavy and clumped together. The seafood stuffed flounder was inedible. Nothing more to say about that except that I regret ordering it. The lobster baked potato was undercooked as was the shrimp in my friend's Salmon New Orleans. Overall the food quality was inferior to the Hall Rd location. I was charged for a dozen biscuits that normally come free with dinner if you dine in and usually they still send you home with 2 bags when you wrap up your food up to go. AT NO CHARGE. I called and talked to a manager today who was very nice and offered to send me a gift card so I can try again at any location of my choosing. And that is why I will continue to eat at Red Lobster b/c despite any bad experiences the staff at every location I've been to has gone above and beyond to keep us happy. The manager sent me a gift card for $40 to cover our bill so we would return. OUR BILL WAS $60. Avoid this location.

I'm. Done. I've tried and tried to give Red Lobster the benefit of the doubt, but they continue to fail me. From Flint to Flat Rock. From Detroit to Dundee. This chain consistently fails me in service, quality, and professionalism. Good bye.

Absolutely never ever again will I subject myself to the misery of a meal here. Two of us stopped in for lunch recently. The place was not too busy, at least not busy enough to have our meal take two hours to serve a burger nod some overly fried shrimp. Service was almost ghost like. A friendly ghost yes, but an near invisible one. The buffalo chicken bites were way too spicy, I like spice. I also like kittens but as with anything too much becomes bothersome. In no way did the dish resemble the pretty picture on the menu. For a dumb guy like me I depend on those pictures when ordering. Once the app arrived we didn't see our server for lost 30 minutes. It took another 15 to get refills on our drinks and another hour for the entrees to arrive. Yes, there was an apology. That cold and uncaring apology you get from someone that simply has had enough with their job. This is the 1st time I've ever been to a Red Lobster. I am not a fan of fish or seafood. My Boo wanted something familiar to him. We got just what he wanted, the familiar poor service the Metro area is famous for. Ahhh, so comfortable to know what to expect.

Went there for dinner tonight. My first entree had a huge hair in the middle of it. Watched my husband eat. Then my food came again, I started eating and there was ANOTHER hair in it!! Not once did the manager stop at the table. He must have looked at me 10 times, even saw me sitting with no food in front of me while my husband was eating. He just flirted with his servers. When we got our bill I expected to see a discount or an offer for free dessert... nothing. I will NOT be back.

The service was really good, but the cooks messed up and put spices on my friend's salmon. She asked for no seasoning as she is gluton free. She started feeling ill almost immediately and I felt bad for her. We did ask for a gluten-free menu, but the mistake was to my friend's detriment. Also, my steak was over-cooked and kind of tough. Not one of our best meals at this location on 12 Mile Rd near John R.

To Whom It May Concern: We went to Red Lobster for dinner on 1/25/2015 and were fortunate enough to have Jalisa L. as our waitress. From the moment she began to serve us, to the end of our meal, she was an EXCELLENT waitperson. She was courteous, professional, and very attentive to all of our needs. We have not been treated in this manner at a restaurant in a very long time. It was not only refreshing, but very kind of her to treat us as "real customers" instead of people that are taking up her time. It reminded us that we are customers that are looking not only for a good meal, but service with a smile. She gave it all and should be commended for her work. Good Job, Jalisa!! We will be returning to Red Lobster and we will be requesting Jalisa to be our server. Thanks for the wonderful service, Dave and Judy Remington

Here fishy fishy jump into my plate. This is a central location for meeting up with friends east side and west side. Its right off i-75 and 12 Mile exit. I like to go to Red Lobster once in awhile. Usually they have my favorite Lake Perch and this time they didn't dissapoint. I had it prepared cajun style. It was fresh and spicey. The service was very friendly. She took care of the six of us very well. Typical RL decor, and clean. Good meeting place.

It's been about five years since I was last here. My husband and I dined here tonight. This place was pretty empty for a good reason. The service was fine, food tasted great. But, the cooks suck. They need to learn how to read when a ticket comes with food allergy. I predict this company won't be around in the long run. Such a shame used to love going here with my mom.

This is an ok Red Lobster, I think I was spoiled at one in Miami so I wasn't really impressed. Went twice, first time had the broiled seafood platter (300 cals) which lacked a lot of flavor. Second time had the atlantic salmon grilled with broccoli and asparagus (330 cals). Now this was pretty tasty and well priced but I feel like the fish was seasoned better at other locations. Service was great. The real kicker was when my mom ordered the 1/2 dozen oysters. She immediately didn't like them, said they were going bad. Sent them back and they took them off the tab. Waitress told us that the manager said they "smelled funny" earlier. Ok, fine, but if something is going bad definitely don't serve it! Love Red Lobster but this location is kind of meh.

We waited at the door for at least 10 minutes with no one to come seat my husband and myself. I ended up picking up two menus and seating us my self. I flagged down a waitress. She seemed to be having a bad night and in turn, had a really bad attitude. Our drinks took forever and we're not great. But the food was definitely worse. I left with a tummy ache. I have had good experiences with other Red Lobsters, and will not be returning to this one.

We decided to dine-in only after seeing 4 course meal for $15 advertisement. We live close by, but never bothered to visit the restaurant since there are many seafood restaurants around in Royal Oak/Troy area and we don't like chain restaurants. Atmosphere - trying to be upscale but fails miserably. Saw a guy with baseball hat and a wife beater. Gross. Oh I saw some ladies with boobies and bras hanging out. Gross. Service - slow with attitude. Frozen drink was half melted. My husband's and my order got switched around. Oh drinks got switched too. Geez. Food - all the unhealthy goodness. Biscuit was good, and soups tasted like canned. Salad was half dead. and main course...SUPER UNHEALTHY dose of butter. We packed our entree and deserts "to go", couldn't stand being in the atmosphere. So...if you want REAL seafood, try not to go cheap. You will get cheap service and cheap atmosphere as well. Lesson leaned. END.

I have been here three times before. I love love love the excellent sea food collection, but I have always seemed to notice that when ever I go to this Red Lobster. It takes almost forever for me to get something to drink, weather it's a cocktail or a simple glass of ice water. Maybe something there servers should consider working on in the future. Love the Shrimp Linguini Alfredo pasta! I get it every time.

Rude host and skirmish on their seafood and oh my the bake potato with seafood on top was awfully dry. I was very disappointed being that I haven't been there in so long. That will be my last visit.

We went to Red Lobster on the 2nd on a Saturday so I'm pretty sure that is why we waited so long. We waited about 30 minutes to be served and then we didn't have a waiter/waitress. We overheard that they switched sections but the person who covered our section didn't show up! We sat for 20 minutes before a waitress from another section added us to her section. Besides the mixup, the food was delicious and our eventual waitress had a wonderful attitude.

Me and my wife went to this RL about 3 months ago and had waited forever to get a seat. We were quoted 25-30 minutes. We ended up waiting 1 hour. They were understaffed that night, which I understand, but knowing that they were still quoting everyone that walked in that night 25-30 mins. Once we were seated, we actually a great server. She was nice and I never had to ask for refill on my drink (one of my requirements for good service).we have been there several time since and haven't had similar wait times maybe like 45 mins, but still good service

My b.f. & I frequent red lobster often & @ this location. The staff is always awesome & friendly. We like the endless shrimp promos they do & have gone in the past: 3 days in 1 week (I love shrimp). Sometimes you can wait 20-30 min on busy days, but it's worth the wait. The salads come out quick, with endless biscuits (we go through a lot) & the entrees are usually very quick too. They have even doubled up on our coupons in the past. Also on endless shrimp days most of the servers will hook it up & we end up taking a lot extra home! Ill always go back to this location! P.s. the bathrooms are clean :)

I love coming to this Red Lobster. Our family always has a great time, good food, great service, lots of laughs. We usually come as a group of 10 or 12, and they seat us pretty quickly. By the time we leave, the staff thinks we're crazy, but they don't let on. They take good care of us.

Customers curse so much and so loud that the kids asked us why is everyone angry, the wait staff is unprofessional and would do nothing about it. The service was truly the worst I have ever had. The food was ok but not half as good as the other MI Red Lobsters. Bottom line, do not go here, not good for kids

The wife and I took the kids here one day for lunch. The kids loved the Lobster tank, the manager pulled a couple out and let the kids check them out up close. We ordered the spinach/artichoke and lobster dip with chips, and killed a couple baskets of there cheddar buns, which is the reason we even go there. I ordered some steamed Alaskan Crab legs with extra butter and the wife and kids got some fried fish n chips. All and all a pretty good meal, just wish it didn't cost so much.

I know, Red Lobster right? What am I doing reviewing a Red Lobster? Well their commercials filled with dripping butter and squirts of lemon finally got stuck in my head with the tag "Endless Shrimp" aka all you can eat. The biscuits there are so good! I need to crack that recipe at home. The shrimp were very hot and freshly cooked as plate after plate came to our table. There were also many options of shrimp to choose from. What impressed me the most though was the service. Our waitress was awesome and I am mad I can't remember her name. I think it started with a K. If anyone has any ideas let me know because I want to ask for her next time. She was happy to keep taking our order for the next plate of shrimp and kept bringing them without judging us for pigging out. :)

  • My friends often take the P out of me for my taste in American dining - not for me the expensive gourmet restaurants. This is one of my favourite places to eat whenever I'm in the States (which is useful as they are a chain so there's usually one wherever you are!). Red Lobster specialises in.guess.seafood! My fave - they do platters of mixed seafood such as Lobster with Shrimp and Scallops. And when us Brits think of shrimp, we tend to think of those miniscule little pink semi-circles you get in fried rice.think KING prawn's bigger brother. Shrimp at Red Lobster, along with the portions, MASSIVE! They do hot cheese biscuits too - to DIE for.my mouth is watering even as I think of them. Ultimate favourite? The Ultimate Feast - A tender split Maine lobster tail, steamed snow crab legs, garlic shrimp scampi and Walt's Favorite Shrimp. $24.50 - where in London can you get Lobster for that price? Let alone shrimp and crab too... Don't be a snob - go there - you won't regret it - they do KILLER cocktails too!
